A regional college gives out over $855,000 in scholarship money to 385 students, for the current academic year. School officials at West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) confirmed the awards on New Year’s Day through a press release. More than 1,300 scholarship applications were submitted. The junior college expanded eligibility for academic scholarships for the next school year. To be eligible for the scholarship, an incoming student must have an ACT score of 21 or higher and at least a 3.0 Grade Point Average. The school is currently taking applications. In addition to merit-based scholarships for incoming freshmen, the school currently offers a need based program geared towards scholarships for non-traditional and current students.
