Southern Illinois Counseling Center Awarded Grant to Pay for New Vehicles

The Family Counseling Center Inc in Vienna has received a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation. The funds that the counseling center received will be go towards buying new vehicles to assist the counseling center to better help the 2,200 clients they serve on a yearly basis. The IDOT grant will pay for of four new vehicles; a 5-passenger minivan, a 12-passenger bus, and two 14-passenger buses. Company officials say they are thankful of IDOT for awarding the grant. Money from the grant has helped free up some funds that were figured into the company budget to take out loans for the purchase of new vehicles. The total estimated cost of the new vehicles is over $227,000.
