Former Sheriff to be Released from Prison

A former Mississippi County Sheriff is expected to be released from federal prison before Christmas. Officials say 36 year-old Cory Hutcheson is expected to be released on December 18. He pleaded guilty   to federal felony charges in conjunction with global resolution of federal and state criminal and civil cases pending against him.  He pleaded guilty to wire fraud charges along with illegally possessing and transferring identification to others. He was transferring people’s cell phone numbers to other people without consent. On April 30, 2019, he was given a prison sentence of half a year, four months of home confinement, and three years of supervised release. All ran concurrent.
