Both license offices and car dealers started receiving temporary registration permits with updated security features on Thanksgiving Day. The Missouri Department of Revenue has now introduced the new tamper-evident design to help to determine the making and use of fraudulent temporary registration permits. To cut down on dealers and Department of Revenue contract license offices will lower their stock of the current temporary permit design. It is predicted that every car dealership in Missouri and contract license offices will process the new tamper-evident permit stock by the beginning of February. The tamper-evident features are features that have elective, motion-effect holographic image that will be visible even at nighttime. The new features will also contain a Void pantograph that will be seen whenever it is photo copied.
