Deer hunters across the state participated in fall firearms season over the ten day period from November. 16 through Nov. 26, 2019. Data from the Missouri Department of Conservation reveled that that hunters harvested 178,936 deer this season in the state. There were 91,420 bucks and 70,279 does were harvested over the ten day period. The remaining 17,237 deer that were harvested were button bucks. The numbers from this past season are down from last year. Last season a total of 200,738 deer were harvested statewide. Officials so reported six firearm-related hunting incidents this month. Four were self-inflicted, two others involved a shooter and a victim, one of those was deadly.
