Members of the Cape Girardeau City Council Rezone Historic Property in Cape Girardeau

Members of the Cape Girardeau City Council rezoned the historic Reynolds House to a different location on Monday. A private foundation continues to move ahead with renovation. Officials say, the goal is to complete work on the 162 year-old building by February. Officials say, once finished, the one and a half story house will provide wall exhibits space showcasing the community’s past, everything from history to archeology. In addition to historic preservation the structure will also serve as an area to have small meetings along with events on the ground floor. Officials say, the upstairs will be used for office space. The property is located at 623 North Main Street near the Isle Casino Cape Girardeau was rezoned as Central Business District. City Council Members Rezone.
