A Cape Girardeau woman was appointed to the Missouri Charter Public School Commission. The appointment was made on Friday by Governor Mike Parson. The woman, who was appointed, was identified as Mary Jane Almandez. She previously spent a number of years as a Spanish educator in both private and public school systems throughout the state of California. Over a seventeen year period she spent most of her time at Learn 4 Life Schools serving as a board member , a serving as the president for a number of Charters. She also served as a charter school advocate by attending several conferences that dealt with charter Schools.
