A New App that Will Soon Be Coming to Cape Girardeau Could Save Several Lives

A non-profit foundation known as PulsePoint, is bringing Cape Girardeau residents together to assist in getting life saving assistance to local residents that are in cardiac arrest in the quickest way possible. The Cape Girardeau Fire Department is collaborating with the app and is encouraging local residents to join. The app can provide assistance in two ways it connects volunteers , who have received CPR training to patients who need assistance, In addition  the app also tracks the location of Automated External Defibrillators, AED’s. The PulsePoint app is free to download now, but it will take a few months before local residents will be able to access the services. Residents also have the opportunity to sign up for CPR classes to get a head start.
