Jackson City Police are currently investigating an incident that happened on Tuesday night when a post on someone’s social media account led to a gun threat against Jackson High School. School officials say, a post appeared on Tuesday evening on the social media platform snappchat. They say the post gave the impression act of gun violence was immediate at the school. Police say, the threat was made do to the fact of a hacked social media account, and they described the threat as unsubstantiated. Police are still investigating into who made the threat and how the account was hacked. Officials sent out emails to parents within the district on Wednesday morning.
