Half a Dozen Earthquakes Rumble through Southeast Missouri on Monday

Officials with the United States Geological Survey reported several earthquakes in southeast Missouri on Monday, September 30. Two larger quakes were first reported to have a magnituide of 2.8, but they were later downgraded to 2.7. The third large quake was first reported to have a magnitude of 2.7, but it was later downgraded to a 2.6. A fourth was recorded later in the day. All six earthquakes happened during the 11 o’clock hour on Monday morning in Lilbourn Missouri. Officials say,  there have been 12 earthquakes in the past seven days in the Heartland.
