Almost 5 Million Received to Provide to Greaten substance use disorder treatments Statewide in Illinois

The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services received a federal grant to assist in the fight by broadening substance use disorder treatment and recovery services provided by Medicaid. The total value of the grant was $4,559,743. The grant was awarded to the Department from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid ServicesThe purpose of the grants is to increase the number of medical providers  to give r SUD treatment or recovery services through an ongoing assessment of the SUD treatment needs of the state as a whole in the recruitment and the training process and technology assistance for agencies who are able to provide services through Medicaid that are able to provide  SUD treatment or recovery services and updated reimbursements for and growth of the total of he number or treatment capacity of Medicaid providers.
