Southeast Awarded New Scholarship

Southeast Missouri State University was awarded a new Scholarship. The scholarship is called the Drs. Ivan and Wanda Davenport Endowed Scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage students who already possess a passion for learning and are passionate about the pursuit of careers related to communication disorders. For a student to be eligible for the scholarship they must be a full time student and maintain a 3.0 grade point average or higher. Students also must be enrolled in the university’s Department of Communication Disorders and the Department of Communication Disorders Scholarship Committee will determine who will be awarded the scholarship. The scholarship is only awarded to under graduate students at the university. The scholarship was awarded to the university by Dr. Wanda Davenport of Festus, Missouri. She made a donation of $10,000 in memory of her late husband Dr. Ivan “Joe” Davenport.
