Puxico High school Alumni Offer Family Scholarship to Assist Local Students

High school students, who attend Puxico High school now have the opportunity have the opportunity to attend college without having student debt.  This possibility is made possible by an area family, who are interested in helping students in the small town attend a university. The Holligan Family Scholarship is presented to students, who attend high school in Puxico and maintain a 2.75 GPA, and are going to school at SEMO or Three Rivers Community College. Representatives   from Mizzou are currently discussing the possibility of offering the scholarship at their university also with the Holigans. The family scholarship helps students pay for tuition and other various fees. For students, who are enrolled in college level courses while still in high school the scholarship can be used for those expenses as well through both SEMO and Three Rivers Community College. The scholarship is named in honor of two PHS alumni, who want to give back to their school.
