FEMA Officials Have Begun Accessing Homes in Alexander County

Officials with FEMA have begun to access the damage after months of flooding in Alexander County. Members of the FEMA met with homeowners in the area on Saturday, and officials have only made observations of the outside of area of several homes at this time. FEMA officials say, they are assessing more than 200 homes reported to have water damage in Alexander County through the time from February 24 through July 3. The county is just one of a total of 20 counties across the state to be affected by the four months of flooding.
