Pritzker Signs Law to Make Railways Safer

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has passed a measure in regards to the shortage of federal railroad safety regulations by establishing a mandatory crew size for freight trains on railways throughout the state. Two years ago the Trump Administration changed the original law of having a minimum of two people operating freight trains at all times. State legislator Jay Hoffman brought it to the government’s attention, and the Governor passed the law pushing for railway safety.
