The Dental Health arm of the Cape Girardeau County Health Department is making plans to extend health services they provide to individuals 18 years and older. The extension was made possible by funding from the United Way of Southeast Missouri. The organization has a partnership with Missouri’s Partnership and Prevention Program. The goal of the whole program is to improve dental health of citizens of all ages. This goal is what the funding from the United Way will be put towards. Officials with the United Way say, all of its partners, who deal with people in need frequently gets requests for dental help, or it’s something that comes up later. They also say, that is one of the reasons why the United way was encouraged to fund the Oral Health Condition of Southeast Missouri.
