State of Kentucky Receives$ 9.2 Million towards Opioid Programs

The state of Kentucky will receive more than 9 million dollars to help with opiod addiction from a federal agency. Officials with the .U.S. Department of Health and Human Services say, the money will help expand access to services dealing with substance use, disorder, or health problems. Officials say, the award to Kentucky includes over $3.5 million dollars increasing access to behavioral health services. An additional $2.7 million will be put forth to increase community efforts to provide treatment, recovery, and prevention services in rural areas.
