Crews Continue To Cleanup Jackson and Restore Power after Storms

Storms came through the city of Jackson on Friday afternoon around 4:15.p.m.  The storm that rolled through caused several trees to become up rooted. There was also debris in the streets. The majority of the city was without power in the aftermath of the storm. City electric crews worked over the weekend to restore power to residents throughout the town. Electric crews were able to restore power to their customers by Monday. Evan though electric has been restored several individual service drops still need to be fixed by residents, who own their own property. After the owners fix them, electric crews can connect the line to bring power back to their building. Residents, who wish to depose tree limbs and brush knocked down by the storms can do so by putting the debris by the curbside for the Public Works Department to dispose. Residents can only do so, within City Limits.
