Principal Taken Into Custody for Grooming

A Former High school principal was taken into police custody on Tuesday on one count of grooming. Grooming is considered a Class Four Felony. The man was identified as 55-year-old John J. Robinson. He was the former principal at Thompsonville High School as well as a pastor at Thomsponville First Baptist Church. He is being held in custody at the Franklin County Jail on a $20,000 bond. Grooming is when someone knowing uses any type of online service or any form of electronic data in order to seduce, solicit, or lure a child into committing a sexual act.  Robinson resigned as the school’s principal on Monday.
