Jackson Wins A Share of SEMO Conference Title

The Jackson Indians Baseball team won a share of the SEMO Conference Baseball Title. The team won the title yesterday with a road victory over the Popular Bluff Mules. The Indians won 4-0. The Indians now have a record of 15-6,6-1. Despite winning the game, the Mules out hit the Indians 6-4. The game turned out to be a pitcher’s duel. The difference in the game was one big hit by Seth Essner had a game changing hit for the Indians. It came with the bases Juiced in the third inning. It was a base hit that scored two base runners. The Indians scored the final run a short time later as the Popular Bluff Pitcher hit the next batter. He then threw a wild pitch for the final run to score. The Mules left ten runners on base, while Jackson stranded four. Landon Hahn scored the first run for the visitors, thanks to a Mules error and a base hit by Tyler Harris.
