Police in McCracken County have made an arrest in connection to a stolen car case. The man taken into custody was identified as 29 year-old Mark A. Holmes. He was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 and criminal mischief third-degree. Police say, they got a report of a stolen 2008 Saturn Vue from a car dealership in the area on March 28, 2019. A few days later on March 30 deputies found the stolen car abandoned in the 3000 block of Estes Lane. Police say, they found items inside the vehicle that helped them determine who had been driving it. Deputies said the vehicle also had a window damaged that occurred during the theft. The vehicle was returned to the dealership at that time. Hilmes was found by police on April 13, 2019. Police say, he was passed out n a car parked behind a church in the Farley area according to deputies. Holmes was arrested without incident. Officials say, Holmes is a suspect in several other incidents, and additional arrests of his associates are expected.
