Man Jailed for Fighting With Roommate

A Fight with a roommate has sent a Carbondale man to prison. The man was identified as 31 year-old Reginald A. Glasper. He was given a four year prison sentenced for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. The altercation between the two men happened in April two years ago. Police were dispatched to the Crab Orchard Mobile Home Park in rural Carbondale after the suspect’s roommate called 911. Police say, Glasper threatened to shoot, his roommate with his pistol after they got into an argument over some medication and ramen noodles.  When Police searched the home, they say, they found a .380 Colt pistol and a modified shotgun with a defaced serial number, as well as some pills that tested positive for methamphetamine. Police also found drug paraphernalia inside the home. Gasper pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon on Thursday. In addition to serving his four year sentence he will also have to serve one year of mandatory supervised release.
