There was a solo vehicle crash in McCracken County on Tuesday morning. The crash happened just a half mile east of McCracken County High School. Police arrived on the scene 7:30.a.m.. Police said, they responded to the intersection of US 60 west and Maxon road just west of Paducah to a report of an injury collision. Police say, that 60-year-old Steven Buchanan of Paducah, was traveling north on Maxon road in a 2010 Honda Ridgeline. Buchanan stopped for the stop sign at the intersection of US 60 west and attempted to cross US 60. Police Say, a teenage driver was heading west US 60 west in the left lane at that time, in a 2006 Nissan Altima. Buchanan states that he did not see the teen driver as he pulled into her path. Each vehicle sustained damage in the crash after the teen struck the right side of the other vehicle. The teenager was taken to a local hospital to be treated for apparent non-incapacitating injuries.
