Police say, they took a man into custody, who led them on a chase from Charleston to Sikeston. The man was identified as 24 year-old D’Marius Ingram. He was seen driving a vehicle on South Main St. around 6 p.m. on Thursday. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, resisting arrest and driving while revoked. He is currently being held on a $200,000 cash only bond. Police say, additional charges are pending against him. When Ingram didn’t stop the officer, who tried to stop him followed him onto Interstate 57.Police, say, during the chase speeds exceeded 100 miles per hour. Police say, Ingram was believed to have been seen throwing illegal drugs out the window. The chase ended on Cole Street in Sikeston. The suspect then tried to run from police. He was arrested shortly after. A handgun was found at the time of his arrest. Police said Ingram is a convicted felon and is currently being held in the Mississippi County Jail.
