Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Police in McCracken County arrested a Paducah man on Tuesday morning just before 2.a.m.. Police pulled over a man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle for moving violations on John Puryear Drive. The man who, was arrested was identified as 56 year-old Roger Gibson. The suspect disregarded the deputy’s lights and sirens, accelerated, and continued onto Estes Lane. Police said the suspect continued the attempt to stop him, and pulled into his home on Oaks Road. He was arrested once he stopped. Police searched him and found a syringe that contained methamphetamine, police say. The Suspect was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree, and Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree  along with other charges. Gibson was arrested and lodged at McCracken Regional Jail.
