Sikeston Woman Arrested for Setting Business on Fire

A Sikeston Missouri woman was charged with setting her own business on fire on Friday. The suspect was identified as50 year-old Monica Mays. Police were called to the structure at Cravings Bakery on W. Malone Street in Sikeston, Mo. at 3:20 p.m. There was minimal damage done to the building after fire crews put out the fire. Police say, the fire was deemed immediately suspicious in origin and cause. Mays, who co-owns the business, was taken into custody late on Friday. She was charged with Arson in the first degree on Saturday Afternoon. She is currently being held on a bond of $75,000 cash only bond.
