Man Charged in Connection With Sikeston Shooting

A suspect has been taken into police custody in connection with a homicide that happened in Sikeston Missouri. Police say, one person was shot to death on Monday February 18, 2018.Police identified the victim as 24 year-old Marcus Dixon. Officers found Dixon’s body in the 800 block of William Street, not far from his home on Branum Street. The man, who shot Dixson was identified as 24 year-old Cornelius Perkins. He was arrested and charged with Murder 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of Weapon, and Unlawful Possession of Firearm. Each Charge is a Felony. He is currently being held in custody at the Sikeston Department of Public Safety without a bond.
