The former Perry County Missouri coroner Herbert Miller received a one year jail sentence on Tuesday. The sentence was handed down for being convicted of stealing on two occasions. Along with his jail sentence he will be required to pay $3,190 in restitution fees. Miller stole over $3,300 from Tom and Lila Welsh of Perry County. Miller was convicted of a felony for stealing and financial exploitation of the elderly. He was serving a probation sentence, but he violated that by taking another sum of money.
