The Marion Fire Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of Anderson Drive at 4:26.p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. When firemen arrived on the scene they discovered the carport of the home was engulfed in flames. Firemen say that the fire began on the back porch, and the flames spread rapidly throughout the rest of the home. The homeowner was inside the home when the fire began, but they were able to escape unharmed. The home was determined to be a total loss.
