Man’s Death Determined Homicide (UP DATE)

Police in Marion Illinois have confirmed a man’s death to be a homicide. The body of 62 year-old Donald R. Schultz was discovered inside his home located at the 200 block of East Main Street. His body was discovered at 3:52 .p.m. on Saturday. His death was confirmed to be a homicide after an autopsy was performed on Monday.  The victim was killed as a result of an armed robbery. The robbery took place on the day of or around January 15, 2019. The suspect responsible for the homicide was identified as 33 year-old Ernest Alex Pulliam of rural Williamson County. He was taken into custody on Tuesday after being found in Cape Girardeau. He was transported to the Cape Girardeau County Detention Center. He was charged with three counts of first degree murder. He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond. He is currently awaiting extradition back to Illinois.
