There was a two vehicle crash that took place in Perry County on Sunday morning. The crash happened on Interstate 55 at mile marker 133 at 8:55 .a.m. Two victims were hurt in the crash. Both victims were identified as 27 year-old Bobby L. Nixon and 20 year-old Timothy T. Wright. A 2007 Mozda 3 driven by 36 year-old Francisco S. Ramirez rear-ended a 2005 Ford Mustang driven by Nixon. Nixon’s vehicle then struck cable barriers and then the vehicle ran off the right side of the road. Both Nixon and Wright sustained minor injuries and were transported to Perry County Memorial Hospital for treatment. Remirez wasn’t hurt in the crash.
