One victim is dead following a shooting that occurred in Sikeston. The shooting occurred on Sunday. Local police were dispatched to the 100 block of Adam Street after a man had been shot at 9:15.a.m. When police first arrived on the scene they discovered a 25 year-old male with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment; it was there that he was confirmed dead. The identity of the victim hasn’t been released at this time. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
