The suspect, who was accused of shooting two policemen this past summer, was proven guilty on Friday. The suspect was identified as James Odell Johnson, Jr. He was proven guilty of resisting and impeding officers as well as possession of a firearm by a felon. He will be sentenced at 11:30 .a.m. on April 19, 2018. Police say, Johnson was arrested at an apartment on Kinzer Street in Poplar Bluff on a warrant. The arrest was made following a standoff in which Johnson fired at the officers and injured one. He hit another in his body armor.
