Police in Sikeston Missouri continue to investigate a shooting that left a 42 year-old mother dead. The shooting occurred at a home located at 509 Kendall Street on Tuesday afternoon. She was found around 1:45 .p.m.on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Jennifer Midgett. Her boy friend was taken into police custody in connection with the incident. He was identified as 36 year-old Jeffery L. Anderson. He was taken into custody in Charleston without incident. The victim was the mother of several children and they were all at school when the shooting occurred. Family Services is currently is currently in the works to place the children with family.
