In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month Southeast Missouri State will be hosting their Pinkout games this weekend. The Volleyball team will be hosting Belmont on Friday at 6:30.”All Breast Cancer Survivors are Encouraged to come”, says University Athletic Coordinator of Promotions, Philip Lady. The survivors who come will be admitted free of charge. The following day the football team will host OVC powerhouse Jacksonville State at 1.pm. Lady, mentioned “survivors can take part in the annual Redhawk Walk with the team before the game”. Fans will also have the chance to bid on a pink jersey to be worn by a player during the game. It can have a name of a loved one, who has died, or is battling the disease on it. “Fans and families will have a chance to meet the player who wore the Jersey after the game, Lady noted. “There is no specific number of dollars we try to raise, but we have raised over $15 to $20,000 dollars on jersey sales”, he continued. The Pnk Out is put on every year with St. Francis Healthcare Systems.
