MU Research Finds Many Patients Don’t Use Online Medical Records

The University of Missouri has found that patients who have the opportunity to benefit from online patient portals don’t use them. Seventy percent of government spending in the .U.S. is put towards this online portal. The patient portals provide a very safe and secure access to medical records online. Research has discovered that people, who have access never, use it. People who do log into their accounts are usually located further from their doctor; some patients may have been determined to have heart failure.
