The Jackson R-2 School District is Offering Free ACT testing to High school Juniors

The Jackson R-2 School District approved a new proposal to give all juniors the opportunity to take the American College Test free of charge. This new proposal was approved during the Districts annual meeting this month. The state of Missouri stopped their free funding last year. The district has set aside 18,000 dollars to pay for the free testing. There will be one other test given with the ACT it is the Work keys Assessment. Completion of this test can result in a certificate of completion for students to prepare them for the work force.  This certificate of completion may also help some students enroll in vocational schools if they choose to attend.
