The Perryville Missouri 5 K run raised over $4,400 in revenue to benefit the town’s local schools. The revenue from the event will be given to the PHS and St. Vincent athletic departments. Each school will receive their portion of money during halftime of the Cross Town Rivalry game between PHS and St. Vincents. The game will take place on Friday, September 21, 2018. Each school will receive a check of $2,200. This year’s event saw a total of 94 people participate. This year’s event was held at a different location by the request of city officials. The event was held at TG Missouri’s 5 K Trail. Jimmy D’Angelo, who finished with a time of 22 minutes, 35 seconds, turned in the top overall time. Kelly D’Angelo came in second at 22:36. Benjamin Schremp was third overall with a time of 23:06. This year’s race was the third annual 5 K Run. The event will be held every year in conjunction with the Perryville St Vincent football game.
