Today is the 17^th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Two commercial airliners hit the Twin Towers. Another hit the Pentagon in Washington .D.C. The victims who died and their families are being remembered nationwide today. Here in Southeast Missouri the Jackson Fire Department held a march in their honor. The firemen dressed in their full uniforms and walked 3.43 miles through town. They were also carrying an American flag. The March began early this morning at 6.a.m… At the campus of Southeast Missouri State, over 2,000 flags are displayed on the Academic Hall lawn in remembrance of all those that lost their lives.
