Missouri Colleges and Universities Are Helping Students Pay for and Get Used To School

Many High school students are excited for college, but when they get there after summer their mind changes. 200,000 college freshman students experience a term known as summer melt. Many colleges are trying to keep students on track. Many students may also be concerned with grades being able to transfer and paying for school. St.Louis Public Schools have funded a Career Center program to help with this issue. Mizzou has two day campus visits for freshman and parents to help them enroll and helps them get used to college life. Washington University in St. Louis created the same type of program three years ago.
