STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. (AP) — An assistant high school principal in eastern Missouri has been charged with having sex with a minor.
Thirty-nine-year-old Elizabeth Giesler was charged Friday with having sexual contact with a 16-year-old high school student while working at Ste. Genevieve High School. She’s also charged with multiple counts of second-degree statutory sodomy and second-degree statutory rape.
Giesler has been released on $20,000 bond. No attorney is listed for her in court records. A woman who answered the phone at her home said not to call.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper wrote in charging documents that Giesler and the student engaged in sexual acts in April and May at her residence. Giesler previously worked for the Liberty School District as a teacher.
