Kentucky governor terminates contract of “adoption czar”

Kentucky governor Matt Bevin announced the termination of the state’s “adoption czar.” Bevin hired Daniel Dumas as a special adviser last year and extended him a contract to assess the state’s adoption and foster care system. Bevin said Monday the contract was no longer worth having and that he’d terminated Dumas for a $60,000 buyout. He said he appreciated Dumas’ work.
