MO filed wrongful conviction suit after spending eight years in jail

A Missouri man who was acquitted of murder is filing a wrongful conviction lawsuit after spending eight years in jail. Michael Amick and his wife are filing the suit after he was released from jail after being convicted for second degree murder and second degree arson in connection to the death of his mother-in-law. The suit claims officials made false reports, fabricated evidence and didn’t interview witnesses. The Missouri Supreme Court ordered a retrial and the new jury acquitted Amick.
