Some IL federal highways getting repaired

Some Illinois highways damaged by natural disasters are getting repaired thanks to a grant from the federal government.

$450,000 was granted to the state to repair federal highways and roads damaged by natural disasters. Illinois Department of Transportation will get $410,000 in funds through the Federal Highway Administration’s Emergency Relief Program to repair roads hurt by storms in 2015. The US Forest Service office in Jackson County will receive $50,000 through the FHA for federally owned roads to repair damage from flooding that occurred throughout 2017.
