Some Missouri HIV patients could lose health insurance

Nearly 100 HIV patients in Missouri will lose their access to comprehensive health insurance as of Jan. 1, 2018. The Department of Health and Senior Services announced these cuts are being made as a result of high costs. The state helps direct federal funds from the Ryan White program to help those with HIV to nearly 2,300 patients every year. Those who are losing coverage will still have access to necessary medications.
