Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner is facing a challenger from within his own party. State Representative Jeanne Ives will file her petitions for candidacy for governor on the last day to file. She says Illinois needs new leadership especially after Rauner signed measures allowing health insurance and Medicaid to cover abortions. Rauner says he’s in a good place to win re-election and isn’t concerned with Ives’ challenge.
