An man who escaped police custody early Thursday morning has been found in Pemiscot County.
21-year-old Corey Hause was arrested Wednesday for failure to show up in court after being charged with a misdemeanor traffic violation in July. Hause was cited for driving without a valid license and didn’t go to his court date in October. While in police custody, Hause swallowed something and started vomiting. He was transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital where he was treated and released back to police custody. While returning to Winona City Jail, the police vehicle started having malfunctions on Highway 60. Hause asked to use the restroom while officers waited for assistance and he was able to escape their grip and ran into the woods. Police are still searching.
