IL propose sex assault hotline

Illinois Republican Minority leader Jim Durken wants to establish a hotline for victims of sexual assault. Durkin said his proposed legislation would provide a safe outlet for anyone in Illinois who is sexual assault seeking counseling, protective services or assistance. The proposed legislation comes after allegations of sexual harassment rocked the Springfield last week. Majority Leader Mike Madigan also proposed legislation that would require all lawmaker and lobbyists to complete sexual harassments awareness training.
