Cheerleaders from Southern Illinois University say they’re facing threats after taking a knee during the National Anthem at Saturday’s football game. Threats have been investigated by the university’s Department of Public Safety who say not positive threats have been identified. The university’s president says the university will encourage the respect of the flag, but will not enforce it and says it will allow students to express their ideas peacefully in accordance with the First Amendment.
