State prosecutors in Kentucky are worried that Governor’s Matt Bevin’s budget cuts could shut down the state’s justice system. The budget cuts proposed would take $16 million from state prosecutors resulting in one of every three employees being laid off. The governor is proposing up to 17 percent in state funding to save the state $350 million and avoid a $200 million budget shortfall.
